P!nk Cancels Mexico City Shows

Scheduled to play the GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City on April 26 and 27, both P!nk shows have since been cancelled due to events “beyond the control of the artist.”

Addressing the unfortunate situation, concert Promoter Ocesa took to X with the following update:

“PINK IMPORTANT NOTICE. We regret to inform the public in Mexico City that, due to complications arising from an unforeseen event affecting the event’s logistics and beyond the control of the artist, promoter, and venue, PINK’s shows scheduled for April 26 and 27 at Estadio GNP Seguros will not take place.” “We understand the excitement of attending these concerts and deeply appreciate the understanding of our fans. If you made your purchase online, a full refund, including Ticketmaster service fees, will be automatically credited to the card used for the purchase, according to your bank’s processing times.” “If you purchased your tickets at the box office, you can request a refund at the same location where you made the purchase in the coming days.”

Not the superstar singer’s first such incident, in 2024, the musician (born Alecia Beth Moore) took to Facebook with an emotional apology to fans after cancelling the final four shows of her tour due to injuries. Explaining she’d been performing with a torn bicep and two torn meniscus’ and had to stop performing due to the injuries:

“This is a LOVE LETTER and an apology to those who had tickets to the shows I’ve cancelled. You deserve to be acknowledged and seen and cared for. I always try to be honest and transparent so here it is. Full refunds are being extended obviously. And just know that I did my absolute damndest to make it to every city I signed up for. I always try to honor my commitments 1000 per cent. I almost always make the mark, but that doesn’t mean much to a person that feels disappointed in me right now. I’m really sorry. I hope one day to make it up to you. And I thank you for wanting to spend your time with me. At that moment- I couldn’t lift my right arm anymore, I couldn’t sleep, and I needed to figure it out. Cortisone can only take you so far.” “I took a small rest- and then I finished this marathon. I am so in awe of how many beautiful people there are in this world. I’ve spent the last three years staring into your eyes and sharing our angst and fear and rage and joy and freedom. Now we go to work to make sure we can always celebrate exactly who we are. One more side note- I told my family to take away my phone after anesthesia cause I ain’t gonna be no psycho viral mess!!!! Love to all the good ones! And prayers for the rest.”
