As the world mourns the death of legendary fashion designer Giorgio Armani, Victoria Beckham shared a tribute to the icon on her Instagram Stories.
Reflecting on the relationship she had with the 91-year old designer who dressed many of Hollywood’s A-list celebrities, the former Spice Girl stated “The fashion world has lost a true legend in Giorgio Armani, a visionary designer whose legacy will live on forever.” “I feel honored to have called him a friend.”
Victoria’s husband David Beckham took to his own Instagram Stories alongside a photo of himself with the designer and the caption “A very sad day as we say goodbye to a very special man. Kind, generous, humble and a true gentleman. Giorgio Armani. One of a kind.”
On Thursday (9.04,) an official press release from the fashion house revealed that Armani had “passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones” and “worked until his final days, dedicating himself to the company, the collections and the many ongoing and future projects”.
Other celebrities posting tributes to the Italian-born fashion icon include Julia Roberts, Leonardo DiCaprio, Diane Kruger, Elizabeth Hurley, Michelle Pfeiffer and more.
