During her recent concert in Melbourne, Australia Olivia Rodrigo fell through the stage.
As part of the Australian leg of her Guts world tour, it was during her final show in Melbourne on Monday (10.14) that the now 21-year-old superstar singer/songwriter shocked the audience when she disappeared through the stage floor.
Viral footage shared on social media showed Rodrigo running across the stage before dramatically falling through a hole in the floor that appeared to have been left open by mistake.
Handling the incident with aplomb, reassuring her fans that she was unharmed before continuing with the show, Olivia got to her feet and said “Oh my God, that was fun! I’m okay!” “Wow. Sometimes, there’s just a hole in the stage. That’s alright! Alright, where was I?”
Monday’s performance was the last of four shows in Melbourne before the award-winning musician heads to Sydney for concerts on October 17, 18, 21 and 22. And following the Aussie dates, Olivia will take a five-month break from the Guts tour, which launched in February in support of her second studio album of the same name.
