Snoop’s New LP To Feature Sting + Jelly Roll

On his forthcoming LP ‘Missionary’, Snoop Dogg has collaborated with the likes of fellow superstars Sting and Jelly Roll.

Now 52-years of age, the iconic rapper has confirmed the involvement of former Police frontman and the country music star on his new full length scheduled for a November release.

During a recent conversation at the Bloomberg Screentime conference, the rapper (born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr.) said:

“I got a feature from Jelly Roll and Sting. I’m so happy that me and Sting have a record that’s so good.” Adding that he’s been “infatuated” with British singer/songwriter (born Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner CBE) and wasn’t disappointed after getting the chance to spend some time with the ‘Englishman in New York’ artist, Snoop recalled:

“We hung out and we chilled. Like a child that’s infatuated with somebody as a singer, and you get a chance to meet them and they give you everything you expected.” “That’s what happens with me all the time: I meet people I’ve always wanted to meet and they’re everything I wanted them to be.”

Produced by former collaborator and friend, Dr. Dre, who worked on his debut record ‘Doggystyle,’ Snoop’s been teasing ‘Missionary’ for a couple of years, adding “1993 was the last time he produced a whole Snoop Dogg album. So this a reunion, and it’s collaboration between two friends who genuinely love each other. We know we’re better together.”

Born Andre Romell Young, earlier this year, Dre confirmed that there would be an “amazing roster of artists” featured on the record and promised that the music would “show a different level of maturity” compared to their previous collaboration.

“We were kids at that time, you know what I mean? Snoop may have been 18 or 19 years old and I’m, I think, six years older than him.” “So we were kids at that time, and this one is gonna show a different level of maturity with his lyrics and with my music,” said Dre.
