Following her mysterious surgery, Garbage front-woman Shirley Manson is now recovering at home.
Taking to her Instagram account with the caption “She lives,” the now 58-year-old songstress appeared in fine spirits as she flashed peace signs from her hospital bed.
In a follow update, the Scottish singer-songwriter addressed her days in bed recovering from the operation, writing:
“I’m choosing to remind myself, as I lie here trying to recover from major surgery, that there are still beautiful things in the world. Animals, flowers, oceans, trees.” “I’m so grateful to all the people who have gone out of their way to love on me, take care of me, check in on me. I cling on to their kindness and their thoughtfulness and their care.”
At the beginning of August, Garbage cancelled the remainder of their 2024 tour dates in order for Manson to undergo a surgical procedure (and rehabilitation) in order correct an injury that she “sustained on our recent tour in Europe”.
At the time Shirley to her social media with “No one is more crushed about this than I am. You know I would push through if I could.”
While Manson has yet to divulge the nature of her injury or what surgery she underwent, the pop/rock musician had a hip replacement in 2023 in order to address an injury she sustained when she fell off a stage in Los Angeles in 2016.
