In the midst of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing legal troubles, 50 Cent has made a contentious offer to his fellow rapper.
After the Puff Daddy-founded TV network REVOLT announced that the now 54-year-old music mogul would be stepping down from his role as chairman, on Tuesday (11.28,) 50 Cent took to X with “I’ll buy that from you play boy , for the low because you know Cadillac and AT&T gonna pull out,” he wrote above two photos of headlines about Diddy stepping down from REVOLT. “I’ll give you a few dollars for it now! Sell it to me, then we can be friends … Im serious call my phone.”
Born Curtis James Jackson III, 50’s tweet followed the TV network’s Instagram post, confirming that it would be moving forward without P. Diddy. “While Mr. Combs has previously no operational or day-to-day role in the business, this decision helps ensure that REVOLT remains steadfastly focused on our mission to create meaningful content for the culture and amplify the voices of all Black people throughout this country and the African diaspora,” read the official statement.
Earlier this month, Combs was accused of rape and assault by his former partner/singer Cassandra Ventura (pka Cassie.) In the lawsuit that has since been settled out of court, lawyers for the plaintiff said that the songstress “endured over a decade of [Combs’] violent behavior.” Since the initial filing, two more women have come forward and sued the superstar rapper/entrapreneur for sexual assault.
Not the first time 50 Cent has addressed Diddy’s public troubles, on Monday (11.27,) the rapper posted footage from Screamfest 2007 to his Instagram, showing Diddy smacking Jay-Z’s butt onstage. “20 machine guns, only get 10 months, Diddy in the back, pattin on N—as butts,” he wrote. “Nah I ain’t wit it, I ain’t never been wit it.”
