In preparation for his concert film, Usher confirmed the September 12 release of Usher: Rendezvous in Paris.
Directed by Anthony Mandler, the forthcoming film was shot during his 2023 eight-show residency during Paris Fashion Week at the La Seine Musicale and will premier in 2000 theaters for a limited run.
Rendezvous in Paris will provide the singer/songwriter’s fans a behind-the-scenes look at the superstar’s life and will include several of his biggest hits, including ‘Yeah’ and ‘Love In This Club.’
Taking to his Instagram account on Tuesday (7.30,) the musician (born Usher Raymond IV) wrote “USHER: RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS is coming to cinemas WORLDWIDE Sept 12 – 15.” “It was a gift to perform in the City of Lights and I can’t wait to share that gift to U.”
In a new formal statement about the project, Usher said that performing in Paris was a “special experience”. “Paris was a special experience for me as an entertainer and for my fans.” “I hope those who weren’t able to make it in person get to experience how special it was. For those of you who were there, I hope you see the show through a different lens.”
In addition to his concert film, the 45-year old über-talent is prepping for the Usher: Past Present Future tour, which kicks off in Atlanta on August 14.
