The Prodigy, Pet Shop Boys, Green Day Headline Isle Of Wight Festival

On Friday night (6.21,) The Prodigy closed the Main Stage with an electrifying set that incliuded such iconic songs such as ‘Breathe,’ ‘Out Of Space’ and ‘Firestarter,’ at which time a special laser projection of bandmate Keith Moon was beamed throughout the audience.

Friday kicked off the Main Stage first full day of music featuring the Beatles tribute band The Bootleg Beatles, followed by indie upstarts The K’s and classic rock’n’rollers The Darkness. As the sun went down, Aussie rockers Crowded House performed their hits ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’ and ‘Weather With You.’ Mike Skinner brought The Streets to the stage with ‘Dry Your Eyes’ and ‘Fit But You Know It.’

Over on the Big Top stage, Johnny Marr performed iconic tunes from The Smiths along with his own solo tracks. And legendary band, The Pretenders closed the night with an exhilarating set including ‘Let The Sun Come In’, ‘Up The Neck,’ ‘Kid,’ ‘Back on the Chain Gang’ and ‘Don’t Get Me Wrong’ featuring Johnny Marr on guitar.

Over the rest of the weekend, fans enjoyed a host of incredible acts across 13 stages including headline performances from Pet Shop Boys, Green Day, Suede and Jo Whiley’s 90s Anthems and more.

Across 4 days of music and entertainment, the festival site has attracted some 55,000 people for a weekend of unforgettable moments and memories.
