The 1975 Remove Streaming Music

By removing one of their songs from all streaming platforms, Matty Healy has upset The 1975 fans.

On Tuesday (11.04,) the band’s loyal followers couldn’t help but notice that ‘Human Too,’ the ninth track from the British band’s 2022 album Being Funny In A Foreign Language, was no longer available on any streaming service.

Following fan backlash, the group’s frontman Matty replied to a Reddit thread about the song’s disappearance, and confirmed that they’d retroactively removed it from the LP. Implying that he no longer liked the song, three years after its availability, the 36-year old singer/songwriter wrote “Human Too was removed from the album so the album is more how I want it to be.” “Previous physical release obviously remain the same (sic).”

Hinting that another song may also be removed, Healy added “I doubt the same will happen with any other records as I am pretty happy with them outside of ‘What should I say’ from Notes On A Conditional Form. So that may also be removed who knows.”

Taking Matty to task for removing a three-year-old fan-favorite title, his loyal followers begged him not to do the same with ‘What Should I Say,’ that appears on their 2020 album, Notes on a Conditional Form. And responding to one fan’s plea, he simply replied, “Ok no worries x.”
