Sia Granted Primary Custody

Following a protracted custody battle between the superstar singer/songwriter and her estranged husband, Dan Bernad, Sia has been granted primary physical custody of their two-year-old son, Somersault Wonder.

Based on an agreement between the former couple, Judge Firdaus Dordi granted Sia physical custody, according to court documents obtained by People magazine.

Along with special days and holidays as outlined in their agreement, the child’s father will share legal custody and have regular visitation rights.

Married from 2023 to 2025, the couple reached an agreement on child support several months ago, with the singer agreeing to pay Bernad $42,500 per month in child support.

In September, Sia sold off half of her music catalogue for $180,000,000.00 with the songstress receiving $165,000,000.00 for the songs she wrote – including ‘Cheap Thrills’ and ‘Chandelier’ – before marrying her husband, who has reportedly agreed to waive any rights to that money for a one-off $1,000,000.00 settlement.

Nearly a year after welcoming their son, Sia filed for divorce in March of 2025.

It was recently announced that the the Australian-born, 50-year old musician (born Sia Kate Isobelle Furler) will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2027.
