Sia quietly gave birth eleven months ago.
According to divorce documents secured by People magazine, the superstar singer/songwriter welcomed Somersault Wonder Bernad into the world on March 27, with her now estranged husband Dan Bernad.
Born Sia Kate Isobelle Furler, the musician is asking for legal and physical custody of Somersault in the divorce but is amenable to visitation rights to be determined by the parents.
On Tuesday (3.18.) following two years of marriage, Sia citied irreconcilable differences and she has requested the court not to grant her ex spousal support.
Famous for keeping her personal life conspicuously private, the Australian-born talent tied the knot with Bernad in an intimate Italian ceremony in May 2023 in front of just four guests.
Prior to her current marriage, Sia adopted two teenage boys in 2019, both of whom were 18 years old at the time and about to age out of the foster care system.
During her 2020 interview with InStyle, Furler addressed motherhood, stating that she “wanted to be a mom my whole entire life,” detailing her issues with infertility and having undergone IVF treatments with her ex-husband, filmmaker Erik Anders Lang.
