Following recent “false” claims, Piers Morgan has formally apologized to Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
The former host of Good Morning Britain addressed statements made about the superstar music duo by singer Jaguar Wright during last week’s show.
While addressing the recent Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ arrest on Morgan’s YouTube series ‘Uncensored,’ Wright stated, “For four years I’ve been screaming not just Diddy, but Diddy and Jay-Z are monsters.”
Jaguar who previously worked as a back up singer for Jay-Z, went on to say that he is “worse than Diddy” and called the music mogul and his wife a “nasty little couple”.
Wright’s words followed Combs’ New York arrest and sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution charges.
After hearing from Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s legal team, Morgan has now addressed Wright’s comments with the following statement:
“Jaguar Wright made several serious allegations about Jay-Z and Beyoncé during their interview. As I said in the moment, they were not present to respond or defend themselves.” “Now they have. Their lawyers contacted us to say those claims were totally false, and have no basis in fact.”
Piers went on to explain that Wright’s claims about Jay and Bey had now been edited out of the interview, adding “Editing interviews is not something we do lightly on a show called Uncensored.” “But like the proverbial cries of fire in a crowded theatre, there are legal limits on us too. We apologize to Jay-Z and Beyoncé.”
