For the first time in 15 years, Oasis have finally confirmed a forthcoming reunion tour.
On Monday (8.26,) brothers and former bandmates Noel and Liam Gallagher ended years of reunion speculation by admitting that they’ve finally come to terms with each other and set aside their differences en route to a 2025 U.K. and Ireland trek.
A concise yet powerful statement posted on the band’s official website read “The guns have fallen silent/The stars have aligned/The great wait is over/Come see/It will not be televised.”
The Oasis Live ’25 tour will launch at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on July 4 and 5 prior to four shows at Heaton Park in their hometown, Manchester between July 11 and 20, followed by four nights at London’s Wembley Stadium between July 25 and August 3, Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland on August 8 and 9, and Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland on August 16 and 17.
The aforementioned dates will mark the only 2025 Oasis shows in Europe though the duo is organizing plans to go to other continents next year as well.
In a video montage of their live performances along with voices overs from Noel and Liam, the iconic pop/rock band announced the news on social media. Having famously fallen out and broken up in 2009, the siblings talk about each other, with Noel saying “Me and him are like telepathic, you know what I mean? I know my brother better than anybody else. When we both come together, you have greatness.”
It is yet unknown if the Gallaghers will be joined by guitarist Gem Archer and bassist Andy Bell, who were part of the line-up before the group disbanded in 2009 and tickets go on sale on August 31.
