50 Cent, Kid Rock, and John Rich, of Big & Rich, are just some of the musicians who took to their social media accounts to weigh in on Saturday’s (7.13) Donald Trump shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania.
After the presumptive GOP presidential nominee was rushed offstage after several gunshots were fired, according to the Secret Service, the embattled politician was “safe” after the incident.
Several hundred feet outside the venue where Trump’s rally took place, the suspected shooter fired multiple shots, grazing the former president’s right ear, killing one event attendee and wounding two others who are in critical condition, according to agency spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi. Following the incident, Trump described having been “shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear.”
A staunch supporter of Donald Trump, Kid Rock took to his Instagram account with a video appearing shirtless while wearing a “White Boy of the Year” baseball cap, vehemently stating “You fuck with Trump, you fuck with me.”
Sharing with his followers that Trump had been shot, shortly after the incident John Rich of Big & Rich shared video footage from the rally with the former president saying “fight.” Captioned with “BRING. IT. ON,” he wrote, “They couldn’t beat him in a fair contest, so they tried to kill him. BUT THEY MISSED.”
Superstar rapper 50 Cent shared a social media post with a clip of his song “Many Men (Wish Death)” along with a photo of a defiant-looking Trump being escorted away from the rally by the Secret Service. Adding “I know the vibes,” and “we all in trouble now!” the musician later shared a photoshopped version of the LP cover from his debut studio album, 2003’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’, that featured Trump’s head atop 50’s body.
