Taking to her Instagram Live account on Wednesday (1.18,) while wearing in a robe and sunglasses, Kesha teased a snippet of what could very well be her new song.
Keeping it casual while eating a sandwich, the superstar artist previewed the following vocals in the background: “I’m about to blow your fucking head through the ceiling/ I’m getting sued ’cause my mom has been tweeting/ Don’t fucking tell me that I’m dealing with reason.”
The song refers to Kesha’s mother, Pebe Sebert – a fellow singer/songwriter who’s worked with Dolly Parton, Miley Cyrus and others – against whom Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald filed a 2016 lawsuit, asserting claims of defamation that were later dismissed. The litigation followed a prior 2014 lawsuit by Kesha who sought to nullify their music contracts claiming that the producer “sexually, physically, verbally, and emotionally abused [Kesha] to the point where [she] nearly lost her life.” Dr. Luke countersued shortly thereafter.
