On Monday (3.27,) during a New York City cocktail party , Katy Perry confirmed that she and her fiancé Orlando Bloom are five weeks into a three-month sobriety pact with with other.
Stating that she and Orlando have agreed to stop drinking alcohol for three months, Katy said “I’ve been sober for five weeks today… I’ve been doing a pact with my partner and I want to quit.”
When her fellow American Idol judge Luke Bryan jokingly asked if she was going to go back on her commitment, the superstar singer/songwriter replied, “No, girl! I can’t cave. I made a promise. Three months.”
Instead of drinking alcohol, the Perry sipped on beverages from De Soi, the line of non-alcoholic apéritifs she launched in 2022.
Now 38-year-old, Katy, has been in an on-off relationship with the famous actor and father to her child, since 2016. The thespian proposed to singer on Valentine’s Day 2019 and they welcomed their daughter Daisy, in August 2020.
During The Drew Barrymore Show in September, the chanteuse (born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson) addressed potential plans to marry by stating “There’s still a plan but the location is challenging. I love a big celebration. I am all about big, fun, exotic, great celebrations. So, hopefully, soon.”
