Kanye Confirms First European Tour In 12 Years

What will be his first European concert in more than a decade, Kanye West will make his live comeback on June 6 with a one-night-only concert at GelreDome in Arnhem, the Netherlands.

According to a formal press release, the show will be the first stop in the embattled rapper’s limited run of European dates, including a concert in Reggio Emilia, Italy on July 18, though additional dates have yet to be announced.Β

The Netherlands show will mark the rapper’s first European live concert since 2014, and his first in that region since 2013, with a spokesperson for GelreDome stating “We look forward to welcoming Ye to GelreDome. This is an event of international scale and a special moment for Dutch audiences.” “We expect significant demand.”

Concert organizer J.Noah Live described the show as a “rare and unmissable moment for Ye’s fans.” “This will not be a standard concert. It’s a moment like his last show at Gelredome in 2012, still talked about today in The Netherlands.”Β

While the controversial musician has not performed a full concert in Europe in more than ten years, in 2023 and 2024, the 48-year-old held several listening parties for Vultures, his collaborative albums with Ty Dolla $ign, as well as his Sunday Service gospel choir performed in Paris in March 2020.Β

Due to his antisemitic and racist remarks, which cost him significant business deals and partnerships, West has fallen out of grace in recent years, and in January he took out a full-page advert in The Wall Street Journal to apologize to both Jewish and Black communities for his controversial comments, attributing some of his past behavior to his bipolar disorder diagnosis and a car accident 25 years ago that he claimed damaged his frontal lobe.

In a follow up interview with Vanity Fair, the multi-Grammy award winner insisted that his advertised apology was not an attempt at “reviving (his) commerciality”, adding, “This is because these remorseful feelings were so heavy on my heart and weighing on my spirit.”

Now slated for a March 20 release, Kanye’s forthcoming full length, Bully, has been delayed several times.

Tickets to the Arnhem show go on general sale on Friday, February 13.
