A Boston street musician who played and sang a rendition of John Legend’s hit “All of Me” had one particularly appreciative audience member … John Legend!
Before his Sunday night show in Boston, the 12x Grammy Award-winning singer was visiting Faneuil Hall with his family when he came across Radha Rao performing his hit song.
At first, Rao, 22, didn’t recognize the superstar musician as he was wearing a mask but subsequently admitted to being nervous after performing her two-hour set where she’s been performing since August.
“What are the odds that John Legend is in town, in the area you’re performing, as you’re singing his song? Beyond believable,” she Rao. “A lot of people tend to ask, ‘Did you play it because he was there?’ And the answer is no,” Rao said. “I was playing it, and then he happened to appear after I started the song, so it was quite a shocking experience.”
Legend was so impressed, he gave Rao a big hug and a tip.
