The day after the sibling trio announcing their new album, I Quit, Haim dropped a video for “Down to Be Wrong,” starring Logan Lerman.
From their first full length in five years, the new Haim video starts with sister Danielle in a hotel bed with the Perks of Being a Wallflower star, as she sings to him as he sleeps. Her sister, Alana stands in front of the television, smoking, while their third sibling, Este flips through channels with the remote. The three ladies rifle through his wallet, invisible to Lerman, who is sheepishly walking around the room, making phone calls.
Concurrent with the announcement of I Quit, on Thursday (4.24,) Haim released “Down to Be Wrong” that follows the singles “Everybody’s Trying to Figure Me Out” (co-written with Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon) and “Relationships.” And during recent headlining show at Los Angeles’ Bellweather, where Addison Rae joined them onstage to deliver some dance moves, the sisters debuted the new track “Down to Be Wrong.”
With the band consistently paying tribute to early 2000s paparazzi photos, the rollout for I Quit has been wildly entertaining, Coming out June 20 via Columbia Records, I Quit is a 15-track LP, produced by Danielle and Rostam Batmanglij, and follows 2020’s Women in Music Pt. III.
