On Friday evening (7.03,) in front of some 1,000 guests, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce exchanged vows at Madison Square Garden. Officiated by Adam Sandler, the pop superstar and American football player confirmed the nuptials in New York City.
While the celebrity couple opted not to have bridal parties, Taylor’s brother Austin Swift served as her “man of honor” and Travis’s brother, Jason Kelce, acting as his best man.
According to editors at USA Today, the event’s star-studded guest list included Lena Dunham, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Jack Antonoff, Hugh Grant, Benson Boone, Dakota Johnson, Nikki Glaser, Sombr, Mariska Hargitay, and Patrick Mahomes.
Donning a couture gown designed by Jonathan Anderson for Christian Dior, the 36-year old multi-Grammy award winner began dating the Kansas City Chiefs player during the summer of 2023 after the sportsman revealed on his New Heights podcast that he tried to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it during an Eras Tour show.
Confirming that they were dating in September 2023, Taylor made her first appearance at one of his football games. And in her 2025 docuseries, The End of an Era, Taylor’s mother Andrea revealed that she encouraged her daughter to reach out to Travis after reading articles about his comments, adding “It was so earnest.” “I thought it was the sweetest thing in the world that he came to your show, he brought you something from your world… I liked it.”
The superstar singer/songwriter recalled, “You called me up with this tone of, ‘Hey, so I know you’re not gonna react well to this. But there’s a guy.’ You said something to the effect of, ‘You’ve got to start doing something different.'”
After two years of dating, in August of last year the couple announced their engagement, and alongside pictures of Travis’s proposal in a rose-filled garden, they wrote in the caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
