After rapper Azealia Banks made a string of insults about their situation on Elon Musk‘s platform X, Grimes has insisted she wasn’t “dumped” by her billionaire ex-boyfriend.
Banks, who was formerly involved in a 2018 feud with Grimes, accused her of “still trying to paint me like the villian (sic)” by commenting on an edited Wicked image that showed Grimes as Glinda the Good and Banks as the wicked Elphaba.
On Thursday (12.26,) the rapper wrote “Girl the way u are still trying to hold out on some weird a** innocent bulls**t years later after u got dumped, cheated on, ur kids kidnapped (sic).”
Born Claire Boucher, the Canadian musician, who shares three children with the Tesla boss, clarified what happened between them, replying:
“It’s just a funny joke bro. not trying to paint u as a villain. i didn’t ‘get dumped’. I bounced. My amazing baby is asleep in my bed beside me, I’m in love. no regrets. Life is as beautiful as u want it to be (sic).” “Ur insanely talented. even after all this, I want u to win. god bless Mlady (sic).”
When a user called Banks “problematic”, Grimes replied, “She is the best hater on the planet. The da Vinci of insults. At a point I just gave up and accepted that I appreciate the madness of existence.”
Grimes and Musk dated on and off for four years until 2022 and they have since been embroiled in a custody battle over their children; sons X Æ A-Xii (4,) and Techno Mechanicus (2,) and daughter Exa Dark Sideræl (3.)
Musk also had six children with his ex-wife Justine Wilson and is the father of three kids with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis.
