After the superstar singer/songwriter and superstar thespian were spotted together in August on a roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California, it was on the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet that RAYE addressed rumors that she and Michael B. Jordan were dating.
When asked by Extra if she was “doing something with Michael B. Jordan” and for details on the top-secret project, the tight-lipped singer simply replied, “I’m technically not allowed to talk about it because I might get in trouble.” And when questioned about the romance rumors, the 28-year old said “No, we’re just friends who like roller coasters.”
It was during Sunday’s awards show, that the British songstress performed ‘I Will Overcome’ and ‘Where Is My Husband’ live and subsequently took part in the George Michael tribute medley alongside Adam Lambert, Sombr and Teddy Swims.
In March the UK talent (born Rachel Keen) received widespread acclaim in for her second LP, This Music May Contain Hope, which secured some 16,000,000 Spotify streams within 24 hours of release.
Staying that she will not write songs for her third full length until she falls in love, the British chanteuse took to a TikTok livestream with:
“My third album is going to be called And Then She Fell In Love, and I’m not going to write a single song of that album, not one single song is getting written, until I fall in love.” “So my next album is going to be called And Then She Fell In Love. I will fall in love, and then I’ll write an album, and every song is going to be like, ‘I love love, I’m in love, love forever, she’s in love, it’s a lovely day to be loved.’ I will write that album when I fall in love.”
