Caleb Shomo and his wife Fleur are ending their 14- marriage, with court records confirming the estranged couple jointly filing for divorce in Los Angeles on Monday, July 13.
Addressing rumors concerning his sexuality two months prior to the filing, The Beartooth lead singer took to Instagram with:
“There’s been a lot of speculation surrounding my personal life as of late, and I feel compelled to set the record straight before it affects those I love any further.” “I am a proudly gay man. This is something I’ve been unpacking and reckoning with in my life for quite some time now.” and sharing that he feels “embarrassed” he didn’t come out sooner, the musician added that he “spent a decade burying feelings with alcohol”.
Reacting to her former husband’s announcement, Fleur expressed her support for the singer and confirmed that they’re no longer together, writing:
“The past few months have been a very disorienting and hurtful time to navigate.” “For both of us. But I will always want to love, protect and support Caleb. I have cared more about his well-being over the years than anything else in the world.”
