Forever controversial, Kanye West took to X on Thursday night (2.06) with the same kind of antisemitic rhetoric that previously got him banned from the platform in 2022.
In addition to his religious banter, the embattled rapper added homophobic, misogynistic, and ableist posts — grim sign of the times stuff — and instead of “BILL COSBY INNOCENT,” we got “@DonaldTrump PLEASE FREE MY BROTHER PUFF.”
At press time, each of the vile posts were still up for review as there’s nothing particularly novel about Ye recycling “Slavery is a choice,” or expressing his admiration for the Nazis and asking to be called “YAYDOLF YITLER.”
Not the first time the former rap icon has behaved inappropriately, in December of 2022, West delivered another string of antisemitic posts, including an image of a swastika intertwined with a Star of David. At the time X owner Elon Musk banned Ye, stated that he’d “violated our rule against incitement to violence, yet his account was reinstated about eight months later.
It remains to be seen if Musk will act as he did three years ago, especially in this new political paradigm where “protecting free speech” is sooooo important. Maybe even more so, it’s hard to imagine Musk would want to silence a super famous person when they seem to bespeaking so highly of him. “ELON STOLE MY NAZI SWAG AT THE INAUGURATION YOOOO MY GUY GET YOUR OWN THIRD RALE.”
