Following her recent fireworks-related accident while onstage, Ellie Goulding has updated fans on her condition.
Taking to social media, the internationally acclaimed singer posted an Instagram Story shortly after her performance at the Victorious Festival in Portsmouth England, at which time a firework exploded in the direction of her face.
“To those asking I am ok,” wrote Goulding. “Pyro didn’t hit me in the face. Face is intact. Love you thank you x.”
Not the first time Ellie’s had to address less than savory personal information as of late, earlier this year, the British-born artist shut down rumors that she cheated on Ed Sheeran with Niall Horan.
“You know, completely honestly, it caused me a lot of trauma, actually,” Ellie told Daily Mail. “I can laugh about it now, but it changed things for me.” Opting to put her career on hold due to the backlash, Goulding added “I became kind of reclusive. I didn’t want to perform.” “It was nothing and it was private – and it caused me such a huge amount of grief and I resent it.” “I was made to feel like a terrible person and I really struggled with that because I know I’m not.”
