Fans of Dolly Parton can’t get enough of the triple-threat legend as the Dolly Parton: A MusiCares Tribute will air on April 7th.
Honored as MusiCares 2019 “Person of the Year” at the organization’s annual fundraising gala and tribute concert, the forthcoming footage features performances by Willie Nelson, Miley Cyrus, Kacey Musgraves, Shawn Mendes, Brandi Carlile, Katy Perry, Jennifer Nettles, Yolanda Adams, Leon Bridges, Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town.
The Grammy winner has long been known as a musical icon and philanthropist – most recently donating $1 million in 2020 to Vanderbilt University to help develop one of the COVID-19 vaccines – and politicians In her home state of Tennessee were also in favor of putting up a statue of the country vocalist, though she respectfully declined amidst the political climate.
The just-released Netflix teaser shows quick cuts of the aforementioned, star-studded lineup of artists performing for Parton before the songstress herself appears at the end to show her appreciation.
