Diddy Releases Trailer For New Album: Look + Listen

The first trailer for Sean Diddy‘s forthcoming short film inspired by the music from his new album, The Love Album: Off the Grid, has been released.

Set for a theatrical release, the short features the superstar rapper/business mogul and model/influencer Eva Apio that promises to capture “the essence of escaping with a romantic lover into a world free of distractions and communications; it’s about immersing oneself in love with no phones allowed.”

In a statement about the film, Combs said “Working with Eva Apio was an incredible experience; her talent and energy brought my vision to life.”

In the trailer, Diddy and Apio represent the collision of love and chaos as the musician wonders if the amount of loss that he’s faced in his life has permanently altered his ability to love. “I can’t handle the pain,” he says in the clip. “I’ve just experienced so much loss in the last year, I had to put love on a timeout.”

“It’s both a blessing and a curse to feel everything so deeply,” Apio tells him, later warning of the emotional dangers of self-sabotage and isolation. But while they’re catching flights and spending late nights running the streets together, the pair’s passion begins to reach a boiling point, despite their shared promise not to fall in love. Soon enough, there are flames blazing and a high-speed police chase underway, with an exacerbated Diddy asking: “What the fuck did you do?”

Pairing the on-screen narrative with his full length, Combs directed Off the Grid himself. “The movie encapsulates the whirlwind of romance, infused with passion, drama, and the enduring spirit of love, while the unfolding drama on screen is underscored by powerful music, amplifying the impact of each scene.”
