Despite their current solo careers that have led the two sisters into constant comparisons and makeshift competitions in the pop music space, during their latest appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s That’s My Jam, Chlöe and Halle Bailey showcased some of the biggest hits from powerhouse women in music.
For the NBC-TV show’s Mixtape Medley segment, the talented siblings took turns delivering booming choruses, with Chlöe starting with “Survivor” from their mentor Beyoncé’s former girl group Destiny’s Child, followed by Halle taking on Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated.”
After unleashing their vocal strengths, Chlöe and Halle pulled each other into a tight hug, uninterested in who the audience ultimately declared as the winner.
Set for a May 26 release, Halle stars in Disney’s upcoming live-action reimagining of The Little Mermaid, while Chlöe released her debut solo full length, In Pieces.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone about the challenges involved with becoming solo artist, Chlöe stated.“I keep myself surrounded by my small circle of people who I know love me and will have my back forever.” “That includes Halle, my godmom, my sister Skye, my little brother Branson, my godbrother Joe. I have people who genuinely love me around me to keep me grounded.”
