As she continues to manage Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS), Celine Dion is supposedly preparing to make a major concert comeback with a series of shows in France.
On Monday (3.23,) Speculation intensified after the names of several of Dion’s hit songs – including ‘My Heart Will Go On’ and ‘The Power of Love,’ – appeared on posters across the streets of Paris.
Posting a series of photographs of herself in Paris throughout the years, the iconic Canadian chanteuse appeared to fuel the notion of future concerts.
The 57-year superstar’s return follows her widely praised performance at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she sang a rendition of Édith Piaf’s Hymne à l’amour from the Eiffel Tower.
Her appearance at the Paris Olympics marked her first live performance since March 2020, and her first in France since her 2017 European tour.
After being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological autoimmune disorder that causes muscle stiffness and can affect mobility and vocal ability, in 2022 the Canadian native cancelled all scheduled shows. And prior to her diagnosis, the musician ws forced to postpone performances due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to French-Canadian newspaper La Presse, Dion is expected to begin the run of shows this autumn at the Paris La Défense Arena, performing twice weekly throughout September and October.
At press time, Celion Dion has yet to officially confirm the aforementioned plans.
