During his Tuesday night (7.05) show in Michigan, legendary rocker Carlos Santana collapsed due to heat exhaustion and dehydration.
Santana, now 74, who’s been touring with Earth, Wind & Fire, was in the middle of a set at Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkson, when he fell backwards, according to witnesses and video from the scene.
In a statement about Carlos’ condition, his longtime manager Michael Vrionis said that the legendary musician was taken to an emergency room for observation and that he was “doing well.”
As a result of last night’s incident, the Wednesday show (at 7.06) in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, has been postponed until further notice and it’s unclear as to when Santana will be back on the road. The Miraculous Supernatural Tour has 21 remaining dates left through late-August before the artist is scheduled to head back to Las Vegas for his residency at the House of Blues, where a show based on his greatest hits is set for fall 2022.
In December, Santana canceled a number of performances in Las Vegas after, his team said, he underwent an unspecified and unscheduled heart procedure.
