BTS, Megan Thee Stallion, Bad Bunny and Olivia Rodrigo lead the 2021 American Music Awards lineup of big-name performers.
Rodrigo, who leads this year’s pack with seven nominations, will make her AMA debut during the broadcast and Bad Bunny, a two-time AMA winner, will get the place on its feet with the world premiere TV performance of “Lo Siento BB:/.” Nominated for five awards this year, the rapper last graced the AMA stage in 2018 alongside J Balvin and in 2020 alongside Cardi B for a performance of “I Like It.”
Over the years BTS’ RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook have taken home six trophies and are up for three new 2021 awards, including a nomination for artist of the year.
Megan Thee Stallion is also nominated for 3 AMA trophies this year as “Butter” (with BTS) melted the 2021Billboard Hot 100 chart, following the August release of its remix that hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart for ten total weeks.
Scheduled for Sunday, November 21, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC-TV and streaming the following day on Hulu, Cardi B will host this year’s American Music Awards.
