Brain May’s Wife Reveals Queen’s Future

Suggesting Queen won’t be doing big tours after her husband Brian May‘s stoke, Anita Dobson has addressed the iconic band’s future.

After suffering a “minor” stroke, which initially left him without control over one of his arms, the group’s 78-year-old guitarist was taken to hospital in September of 2024.

Regarding the future, May’s spouse appears to believe that Queen who’ve have been in the studio with singer Adam Lambert, will be embarking on mammoth tours following Brian’s health scare, and in an interview with The Mirror she said “They will do little bits and bobs, but they won’t do those big tours.”

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Brian said “I don’t think we’re done. And I don’t think we’re going to say a final farewell tour. Because it never is, is it?”

When asked on Alan Titchmarsh’s Love Your Weekend podcast if he is “fully recovered” following his stroke, the British-born musician said: “I’ve had a number of things, Alan, yeah, the stroke was one of them.” “I’ve been lucky, I get these things, but I seem to be able to get out of them.” “They give you a wake-up call.”

During a February interview with Guitarist magazine, the legendary musician feared he would never play guitar again, adding “It went through my mind. When I suddenly couldn’t control this left arm, it was quite scary. I had no idea what was going on.” “I phoned my doctor and she said, ‘Okay, I think you’re having a minor stroke. Dial 999, get in the ambulance and I’ll see you there.’ But even at the worst time, although I couldn’t control where the arm was, I could control my fingers.””So I thought, ‘I’m probably not really in danger.’ I’m all right now. I’m just taking it slow.”
