Ava Max Announces First-Ever Tour

On Monday (4.03) Ava Max announced On Tour (Finally,) her first-ever headlining American trek kicking off this summer.

Ready to bring her Diamonds & Dancefloors album on the road and announcing the dates, the artist born Amanda Ava Koçi took to Instagram with “FINALLY on tour…”

Slated to begin her tour in Europe before returning to the States late-May, the Atlantic Records artist’s first North American show will be in Detroit (May 31) before stopping in New York City, Nashville, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Minneapolis.

With tickets on sale this Friday (4.07,) the tour announcement comes several months after Ava released her Diamonds & Dancefloors full length featuring such songs as “Maybe You’re the Problem,” “Weapons,” and “Dancing’s Done.”

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Max explained that the LP help translate her personal heartbreak into danceable records, stating “When I was in the studio, that was all I could write about: sad lyrics and what I went through.” “But I turned it into dance music.” “I just want to dance. I’d rather cry and dance.”

In 2021 Max opened for Maroon 5 during their summer stadium tour, and she celebrated the release of her new album by performing a sold-out show at the Hollywood Forever Cemetary’s Masonic Lodge in early February of this year.
