At this years ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL the audience witnessed a special appearance by Jon Bon Jovi when the musician joined DJ Armin van Buuren on the main stage at the Miami music event.
During the trance producer’s Sunday night set (3.24,), the iconic rocker and superstar DJ premiered a pulsating remix of Bon Jovi’s 1992 single “Keep the Faith.”
“I remember being a little kid and buying this guy’s album,” van Buuren yelled to the audience. “Ultra make some noise for this legend, Mr. Jon Bon Jovi!” at which time Jon sang along to the mix from the stage risers surrounded by flames.
“It’s an incredible honor to remix this track and to share the stage with Jon Bon Jovi, as I’ve been a massive fan for years,” said in a statement shared by van Buuren “This track is different from anything I’ve ever released before, and no better place to first share it with you all than on the Ultra mainstage.”
In celebration of their 40th anniversary, Bon Jovi is scheduled to drop Forever, their first LP in four years, on June 7. The album’s first single, “Legendary,” was released earlier this month alongside the premiere of a four-part documentary at SXSW. Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story will be released on Hulu in April.
Throughout their incredible 40-year career Bon Jovi’s repertoire has been remixed by the likes Johnny Glovez, Klaas, Mad Brothers, and more, and the lead singer was reportedly working on a collaboration with Avicii in the years before the Swedish producer’s premature death in 2018.
