One year after Takeoff’s passing, Offset has alluded to a possible collaboration with Quavo.
While speaking to The Breakfast Club in a new interview, Offset stated that he and Quavo continue to heal following the death of their Migos bandmate who died in November of 2022 at the age of 28, after being shot outside of a Houston, Texas bowling alley.
Born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, Offset said “That’s my brother at the end of the day.” “We good though. We just spoke in Paris.”
Offset formed Migos in 2008 with his classmate Takeoff (born Kirsnick Khari Ball) and his uncle Quavo (born Quavious Keyate Marshall.)
“We be talking because we be going through little emotions with this s**t, and it don’t be for the public. Everything ain’t for the public to be kiki-ing.” “We still gotta move in our own worlds. It’s all love at the end of the day. We lost a brother; we can’t rock out,” continued Offset.
Though he did not confirm any specific music plans, when asked if he and Quavo would collaborate in the future, Offset replied, “I think so.” “It’s more about me creating my foot in the game. Also I got my own – business-wise – I got my own… I’m a grown man.” “I got five kids too, so I gotta make sure I’m putting that food on the table.”
Offset and Quavo haven’t collaborated on new music since the 2021 Migos album Culture III.
