Justin Timberlake and Timbaland have teased a potential collaboration with Nelly Furtado.
Long-time collaborators, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland have been working diligently on the ‘Sexy Back’ singer’s forthcoming sixth studio LP, and on Tuesday (7.25,) the producer (born Timothy Zachery Mosley) took to social media and shared two new posts including Nelly Furtado.with whom he worked in 2006 on her Grammy-nominated album Loose.
The initial Instagram post featured a snapshot of Timbaland and Justin in the studio on a FaceTime call with the songstress along with “Da dream team @justintimberlake @nellyfurtado”.
The second entry was a snippet of Nelly’s vocals playing in the studio with “Oooooooo boyyyyyyy. We back!!!!!!!!”
Hinting that that the now 44-year old Canadian female singer may be involved in the new full length, Timbaland recently spoke with Variety about the forthcoming LP, saying “Everything sounds great”. “Now it’s really on (Justin,) how he plans to wrap it up and how and when he envisions it to come out.” “With an artist of his calibre, everything has to be aligned, but it’s done and it’s coming.”
Though no official release date’s yet been announced, Timbaland stated that the LP will remond the listener of “FutureSex part two”, referring to Timberlake’s acclaimed sophomore album FutureSex/LoveSounds.
