Returning to her musical root, Gwen Stefani pulls the trigger on the romantic pop bop “True Babe.”
The superstar singer’s first song since “Slow Clap” featuring Saweetie in 2021, Stefani teams up with Swedish production duo Jack & Coke and Los Angeles-based rock songwriter/producer KThrash for her new release that celebrates finding comfort in a romantic partner.
As Mrs. Shelton sings “I want to fly to your shows/Want to wake up in your clothes/Come get you tipsy at 6:30/Want to take tonight slow,” on the pre-chorus, the chorus featuring her iconic vocal style, with “‘Cause it’s true babe, true babe/I’m sleeping better next to you babe, you babe.”
Alongside the Black Keys and the Black Crowes, in May Stefani headlined the 2023 BeachLife Festival in Redondo Beach, California, as she prepares to play a string of European and UK festival dates, wrapping up at the BST Hyde Park Festival in London alongside P!nk.
In addition to her musical commitments, Gwen recently announced that she’ll be returning to The Voice for Season 24, alongside coaches Reba McEntire, Niall Horan, and John Legend.
