Despite being nominated for – and winning – the award for CMA Musical Event of the Year for his ‘Pour Me A Drink’ collaboration with Post Malone, Blake Shelton (and his wife Gwen Stefani) did not attend the 2025 Country Music Association Awards.
According to E! Online, a source reported that, “Blake and Gwen will be watching the CMAs on their TV this year,” yet throughout this year, rumors have circulated that the couple’s relationship could be heading toward divorce.
The first sign of potential issues came in March when the 49-year old singer/songwriter released his break-up song ‘Hangin’ On,’ the duet that Shelton described as being about “breaking up but still trying to stay together”.
Shelton and the now 56-year old Stefani, who was previously married to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, met in 2014 on the set of The Voice, and the musical duo tied the knot in 2021 at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch.
Months since the couple were photographed together, while Blake and Gwen weren’t in attendance, this year’s 59th annual CMA Awards was hosted by former CMA award winner and six-time nominee, Lainey Wilson.
