Known for her superb grasp on meme culture that escapes the lion’s share of contemporaries, Halle Berry has become an unlikely Twitter superstar.
Sharing a viral clip on Wednesday (8.03,) her most recent video combines a scene from Mariah Carey’s Glitter with “Alien Superstar” from Beyoncé’s brand new Renaissance LP. As the self-proclaimed ‘Queen of Christmas’ croons, “I’m too classy for this world/ Forever I’m that girl/ Feed you diamonds and pearls” Mariah dances and vibes to Beyoncé’s ethereal voice.
Captioning the fan-made video “Love love love this mashup. xx #twoqueens,” Halle’s always been a vocal music lover. In 2021, with assistance from Cardi B, she co-produced the soundtrack to her directorial debut Bruised, featuring songs from H.E.R., Young M.A, City Girls, Saweetie, Latto, Flo Milli, Erica Banks and Cardi herself.
