Five years after his passing, court officials are edging closer to finally dividing up Princeβs estate.
Though the specific number has yet to be disclosed, The Minneapolis Star TribuneΒ reported that the superstar’s assets could be worth more than $100 million after the IRS determined that PrinceβsΒ holdings were worth $163.2 million in 2020.
The court is scheduled to begin discussions in February on how best to divide up the assets most likely between New York music company Primary Wave and Princeβs three oldest heirs or their families as the former firm bought out all or most of the interests of Princeβs three youngest siblings.
PrinceΒ died of a fentanyl overdoseΒ at his Paisley Park home in Carver CountyΒ in April 2016. He didnβt have a will.
