Drake Sets Chart Record

With Iceman, Habibti and Maid of Honor debuting at #1, #2 and #3, respectively, Drake becomes the first artist to hold the top three slots on the American albums chart.

After teasing the LP for some two years, Iceman enters the Billboard 200 at #1, earning him his 15th chart-topper and surpassing Jay-Z’s previous record for the most number ones among solo men and R&B/hip-hop artists. The Canadian-born musician also ties Taylor Swift for most #1 full lengths among solo acts, behind only the Beatles with their record nineteen.

Behind BTS’s Arirang, Iceman scored the second-largest album sales week of 2026 and the biggest week of the year for a R&B/hip-hop record, followed by Habibti and Maid of Honor at #2 and #3 respectively.

After starting to tease Iceman in July of 2025 with the first episode of his Iceman livestream series, where he debuted the songs ‘What Did I Miss?’ and ‘Which One’ featuring Central Cee, Drake dropped the LP on May 15.

On May 14, the 39-year superstar (born Aubrey Drake Graham) made the surprise announcement that he was releasing not one, but three new albums simultaneously.
