During his appearance on the latest episode of the 2 Johnnies podcast, Ed Sheeran revealed that he’s moving to the United States with his wife Cherry Seaborn and their daughters, Lyra (5,) and Jupiter (3.)
“I’m just about to move to America,” said the British born musician, before joking: “I feel like I might be the only person moving to America.”
Addressing his decision to move to the US, the superstar singer/songwriter added “I’m going on tour there for a while and I have a family so I can’t dip in and out. We’re going and settling there.”
Though the now 34-year-old musician did not disclose where they’ll be based, he has previously spoken about his love for Nashville, Tennessee, and his ambition to pursue country music.
During an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Sheeran said “Nashville is, like, my favorite city in the States,” he said “My end goal would be like, I’m gonna move to Nashville and transition to country.” “I feel like I have to do it properly.” “And I feel like once you transition to country, you can’t transition back. Once you’re there, you’re there.”
When he’s not on tour, Ed currently spends the vast majority of his time at his estate in Suffolk, and earlier this year, he expanded his property portfolio, purchasing a luxury apartment in Brooklyn, New York, for more than $10,000,000.00
