During her Saturday night (10.26) performance at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Adele started to cry when she noticed Céline Dion sitting in the audience.
While singing ‘When We Were Young,’ the British songstress singled out the Canadian chanteuse and in fan footage posted on X, Adele becomes tearful before approaching her fellow non-American artist.
As she held her face in her hands, the UK musician (born Adele Laurie Blue Adkins) shared a few words with Dion as part of the exchange after which she waved at spectators.
Céline appeared to be at the show with her 14-year-old twin sons, Nelson and Eddy, and the impromptu reunion was a full circle moment for the pair, with Adele having attended one of Céline’s concerts at the same venue in January of 2018.
At the time, the now 56-year old singer took to Instagram and gushed over meeting the 36-year-old at the gig, writing:
“Wasn’t able to do all my shows, but was thrilled that Adele came to one of them… I love her so much!!”
Adele subsequently returned the compliment by exclaiming “Queen Celine! What a show, an absolute highlight of my life, thank you so much for the attention to your crowd and insane humor. Happy new year lady (sic).”
Adele is set to conclude her concert residency on November 23.
