Following the former One Direction’s premature passing, three individuals have been charged in connection with Liam Payne‘s untimely death.
It was October 16 that the 31-year-old UK singer died after falling from the third-floor Casa Sur Hotel hotel balcony. And on Thursday (11.07), that Argentinian authorities confirmed one person who accompanied Payne during his Buenos Aires stay had been charged with “the abandonment of a person followed by death and the supply and facilitation of drugs”. In addition, a hotel employee and a third person have been charged with supplying drugs to the musician though none of the individuals arrested have been named thus far.
At the time of Liam’s passing, the public prosecutor’s office confirmed toxicology tests showed traces of alcohol, cocaine and prescription antidepressants in the singer’s system and an autopsy concluded the British star died from internal and external bleeding as a result of the fall.
In order to to determine his final movements before his demise, Investigators examined hours of video footage from nearby security cameras, along with Payne’s cell phone calls and messages, and his laptop and other devices are still being examined.
Earlier this week, following the completion of laboratory tests and toxicology reports, officials confirmed to the BBC that Liam Payne’s body had been released to his family and flown back to the United Kingdom.
