Following the June 18, 2018 shooting death of rapper XXXTentacion (born Jahseh Onfroy) outside of a motorcycle store in South Florida, three men have been found guilty of the crime.
Michael Boatwright, Trayvon Newsome, and Dedrick Williams were later charged with first-degree murder in connection to XXXTentacion’s death, and on Monday (3.20), all three were convicted by a Florida jury following one week of deliberations.
With sentencing scheduled to take place on 6 April, all three men are facing life behind bars, while representatives for XXXTentacion’s family have yet to comment on the verdict.
In 2022, a former friend of the defendants, Robert Allen, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder as part of a plea deal but he has yet to be sentenced.
