Universal Music, Sony Music and Warner Music have called off their Grammy Week events.
Though the 2025 Grammy Awards remain in place for Sunday, February 2, major record company event cancellations have been mounting due to the deadly Los Angeles wildfires.
The parent company for such superstars as Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Drake, Post Malone, and Kendrick Lamar, Universal Music has confirmed that all of its Grammy-related events – including its annual artist showcase and after-party – have been shut down.
Sony Music Entertainment, the home to Columbia, Epic and RCA Records has also called off its afterparty and, instead, will redirect funds to focus on local relief efforts in Los Angeles.
Warner Music Group, whose acts include Dua Lipa, Bruno Mars and Benson Boone, have done the same as their major label peers.
In addition to the record industry, Billboard has also announced it will be cancelling all the company’s Grammy-related events – including Managers to Watch and the annual Power 100 – stating:
“Our hearts are with the people of Los Angeles as they face the reality of these devastating fires. Many members of our staff and community have been personally affected, and our core focus at this time is allocating the resources we have to support long-term recovery for the city we call home.”
At press time, the Clive Davis pre-Grammy gala, which celebrates its 50th year, is still going ahead.
The 2025 Grammy Awards will air live from downtown Los Angeles on 5 February and Beyoncé leads the pack with 11 nominations.
