November 2021 marks the 36th anniversary of the release of “How Will I Know” from Whitney Houston’s 1985 RIAA-certified Diamond, self-titled debut album on Arista Records. The platinum-selling single went on to became Houston’s second #1 Billboard Hot 100 charter the following year and its accompanying video earned Houston her first MTV VMA award for Best Female Video.
Three and a half decades later the legendary songstress has been cited as the most awarded female artist of all time by Guinness World Records and remains one of the best-selling musicians of all time with more than 200 million records sold worldwide.
The combination of Whitney’s signature vocals with the unique spin from the Britain’s chart-topping Clean Bandit takes the original 80s composition to the next level here. Ever since the release of their 2014 Grammy Award-winning breakout single ‘Rather Be’ (featuring Jess Glynne) the production trio have remained one of pop’s most essential and dynamic forces with classical and electronic elements at the heart of their music.
