Tyler, The Creator Drops Dance Album

The follow-up to his 2024’s Chromakopia, Tyler, The Creator has returned with the dance-themed Don’t Tap the Glass full length.

What was initially rumored to feature the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Earl Sweatshirt, the superstar rapper/songwriter (born Tyler Gregory Okonma) confirmed that the entire collection was a solo effort, and addressing speculation that his ninth LP was a concept piece he wrote β€œY’all better get them expectations and hopes down this ain’t no concept nothing.”

As the introduction of the the first track ‘Big Poe’ (that samples ‘Pass the Courvoisier, Part II’ by Busta Rhymes, featuring Sean Combs and Pharrell Williams) states, this is music for “body movement”.

During his July 18 concert at Barclays Center as part of Chromakopia: The World Tour, Tyler unveiled the full length title with an art installation of a figure enclosed in a clear box boasting the name. Fans were then directed to the website donttaptheglass.com.

Unlike his upcoming solo effort, last year’s Chromakopia featured cameos by Doechii, Childish Gambino, GloRilla and Lil Wayne.
