TWICE Secures First US #1 Album

Having earned 95,000 equivalent album units (each unit equaling one album sale,) TWICE have achieved their very first #1 full length on the Billboard 200 chart with With YOU-th.

According to Billboard reports, With YOU-th is the fifth consecutive Top 10 LP for the K-pop female sensations, and with 90,000 to 95,000 units earned from their new album, it qualifies as the top-selling LP of the week ending 2.29 and also accounts the largest sales week for an album in 2024. The Korean acts sales were boosted by the choice of 14 variants as well as exclusives offered on the groups website along with such retailers such as Barnes & Noble, Target, and Walmart who also offered three different vinyl packages.

Comprised of Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu, prior to its release, the nine-member act recently spoke with Rolling Stone about their 13th mini-album,With YOU-th.

Member Nayeon said that the LP it “focuses on how we’re spending our youth with you.”

Jihyo added: “The vibe might be there, but I think the message is a little bit different. Around ‘Feel Special,’ we were going through some hard times and that track in particular was more about how we were able to persevere through all of that.” “I think this album focuses on our current state of how happy we are in the moment, after everything we’ve been through.” “I think it also shows our growth and improvement over time.”

Dubbed Ready to Be, TWICE is currently on their fifth world tour and they will perform at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on March 16.
