Sharing her second single over the last two months, Tems is ending 2023 with “Not an Angel.”
About her new offering that is also supported by a video, the Nigerian singer said “This song is about knowing your worth and moving on in life from anything holding you back.”
Only the second title the musician (born Temilade Openiyi) has written and released as a solo artist since her If Orange Was a Place EP (2021,) “Not an Angel,” follows “Me & U.”
In February, the singer/songwriter won her very first Grammy for her feature on Future’s “Wait For U,” whose hook is derived from her song “Higher.” Additionally she was nominated for her work on Beyonce’s Renaissance, was also nominated for a Best Original Song Oscar for writing “Lift.”
